Rain and wasps

Today I dressed for the weather I wanted... which wasn't too bright when it came to shoes. My flip-flops got pretty wet, so I was walking around the office barefoot for a while. Fortunately, this is Eugene, not the San Francisco Financial District.

The yellowjackets essay is essentially done. I'm glad they want a "diversity of styles," because I don't think I write like a philosopher. I like the new version better than the old one, so I'm satisfied for now. (Ooh, my first reader says it seems easier to read than before!)
