Happy birthday!

Term paper: check

So I'm pretty wiped out from writing the sort of paper where you have five days from topic approval to "nearly complete first draft" due and have to read 20-30 papers to do it. The actual writing was fine, but I haven't been able to do anything beyond that and the most basic functions of living since Wednesday evening. I do intend to post about Lakoff's talk, and I do intend to get fractal9091's Kuala Lumpur album together, but at the moment I am feeling more used up than liberated, so I guess I'll take Wednesday to get reoriented.

I do have two other major things to get done this month, but this one was the one with a real, external deadline, so it really is good to have it more or less out of the way.
