Huh!

I don't want to be a premature chicken-counter, but now we're told than the 11th percentile is fundable. So maybe my grant is back on!

Update, 12:20 p.m.: We'll know for sure in about a month. Meanwhile, (a tentative) hooray for my first grant as a co-investigator and two more years of funding!

Ups and downs

Good things (other than the grant apparently getting funded after all!):

In the morning I got to chat some with fractal9091 online; he has made it uneventfully to Malaysia (and even met a fellow Magic-player from Korea on the last plane).

I watched The Maltese Falcon, and I managed to pick up D. at school.

My M.S. diploma arrived in the mail.

D. finally lost a tooth.

Not-good things:

Although my fever broke in the night, I am even less able to eat and consequently am quite weak.

I realized as I dropped B's valentine irretrievably into the mailbox that I had forgotten to put stamps on it.

As of May 1, I'm losing half of my FTE (until the new grant starts, if it does).
