Fairest

This afternoon I read Fairest, the new one by the author of Ella Enchanted. Creative, nice, especially if you don't mind your "Snow White" mixed with "The Ugly Duckling" and "Cyrano."

Oh yeah, what else? D. was home sick today. I was spacy and completely charred R's hotdog buns in the broiler, and later we carved pumpkins. Large ones. Note for next year: It's easier to scrape the guts out of the big ones, but carving them can become an aerobic activity.
