Blue Shoes and Happiness

My Friday evening's indulgence was reading this, (I thought) the latest book in the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency series. But lo, Wikipedia mentioned in passing that there are eight of them now, and then I found that our library has 11 copies of The Good Husband of Zebra Drive. All checked out, but I bet they'll have one for me by next Friday evening. Happiness, though I no longer have any blue shoes.

These books are the perfect light reading - satisfying, vivid, elsewhere but seemingly so real. One night I actually found the real Tlokweng Road on Google Earth!
