Africa, Welsh, clothes!
Sep. 6th, 2007 01:36 pmI had to take back Christopher Ondaatje's Journey to the Source of the Nile prematurely (though I've already read it), but so far he was just following Sir Richard Burton's The Lake Regions of Central Africa, so I got that in its place. It'll be bizarre to read Burton himself. Also I picked up the companion book to Michael Palin's Sahara series and a multimedia package that claims it could teach me Welsh via classical music.
Then I stopped by my favorite clothing store to reward myself for returning library books while sick. Zona specializes in tencel and rayon clothes, which are sewn locally, and about once a year I indulge myself. I got a pair of soft indigo capri pants, a red rayon tank top, and two blouses.
( See the blouses! )
