Is it really the last day of August?

I watched The Queen today - it was the right day for it. I tried to make a more seasonal icon (blackberries) but wasn't satisfied with any of my pictures. Also I went by D's school to see the classroom assignments as they were posted - he had a one-in-three chance of being with his best friend, but yay, he was. Or else it was deliberate, which is nice to contemplate.

The kids at Wizard Camp defeated Lord Voldemort, but D. and another of the younger ones were pretty stressed by the experience. He couldn't get to his wand quickly enough and hid 'til it was all over, poor thing. I hope his memories will be dominated by the positives, and they really did a lot of cool and creative things these two weeks.
