Powerless

Our power was inexplicably out for exactly an hour, around noon, which was disorienting. I didn't mind taking a shower in the near dark, and it's fun to shop in Safeway when they're on their generators, but it was a real pain to find a functioning phone (the top row of buttons on the first one I found wouldn't work), and I wanted to, you know, cook food and look at my do-list.

For dinner I had salmon with pineapple salsa (very good) and cranberry-fontina rissotto (bah, boring).
