Cinematic connections

This afternoon R. and I watched Blood Diamond. Parts of it were hard to watch (very violent), but the ending was much happier than one could reasonably have hoped for. In the evening, the three of us watched Cars, which we hadn't seen since Thanksgiving weekend.

Common theme: The abrupt arrival of vehicles playing loud rap "music" means trouble.
