Today we had a good windstorm, and some rain and even a bit of hail. My hair got pretty tousled on my way to and from class. My practice presentation went fine, but I need to project my voice more, vary my speaking rate, and look at the screen rather than the laptop to see where I am in the file. Having that done is great, but even more exciting is the information I got from our department's tech support guy. To do my web survey, instead of relearning Perl and writing web pages and dealing with a database, I can just set up data collection in a pdf! This should save me hours and hours of setup time. I am so pleased. I immediately went to the bookstore and bought Adobe Professional.
So. Today – yippeeee! – was the last day of class (which I missed anyway, D. being sick). Now all I have to do is write a paper for Monday, do my brownbag on the 23rd, and get my data collection going; then I'm done with school 'til data analysis mid-summer.
