Meanwhile, I've gotten my boys dressed in their greenest shirts, and I'm thinking about which CDs to listen to today. I'm thinking Altan, Clannad, De Danann, and the one musanon sent. After all, tha sinn an Eirann an-diugh (we are all Irish today), even those of us whose Gaelic is very, very clumsy and rather too Scottish.

First knitting dream

I had finished my first project - a ribbed scarf in a somewhat garish shade of turquoise - and had started the second. However, it involved trying to purl together some carrot-colored yarn and a big clump of dandelion leaves and wasn't going so well.

In real knitting news, I have discovered Knitty, an online knitting quarterly with articles and a searchable database of rather fashionable patterns, and I aspire - some day - to make these beautiful socks!
