D's room is like this:

I did apply myself to other much-needed organizational tasks today. I sorted my current working stacks of papers, and I spent an hour on cleaning up the houseplants in the garden window.
I also made some headway in understanding the mysteries of our new tax situation. R. and his business partner own the nursery through their S-corporation, and the thing about S-corporations is that the partners pay its taxes on their personal 1040s. However, although we've seen a P&L for the nursery itself, we have no clue what the S-corporation spent and how it relates to the nursery's net income. Today, though, aha! I figured out that we just have to wait for the S-corporation's accountant to give us a "Schedule K-1," and then we use it to fill out "Schedule E," and we'll be set. Not so bad, providing he does it soon.
Tomorrow's the Civil War game, and Oregon should win easily. We expect we'll miss the first part of the game due to
John Fisher's memorial.
