- Buying some really soft dark red yarn (alpaca-silk blend) and some knitting needles, so I can practice
- Finding the new Middle Eastern grocery (Pomegranates) and buying some canned Persian food and a Persian cookbook with lots of photos
- Making good progress on my paper for Issues class
- Reading several chapters of Jane Eyre
- Attending the first concert of the Oregon Bach Collegium, which was at the neighborhood Episcopal church
The first piece at the concert, Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 2, was marred by a lot of really off squeaks from the period-style trumpet on the high notes, and I actually thought about leaving. The rest of it was Telemann and went just fine; the last piece (the Concerto in E Minor, TWV 52:e1) was completely wonderful.
