Steady rain
Dec. 27th, 2005 09:39 pmWhen I went to the office, the rain was light but steady, and it continued all afternoon then increased in intensity around 4 p.m., and after dark I walked down to Tugman Park to see if the creek had flooded. It hadn't, quite, but if it keeps raining like that all night, then surely it will tomorrow. I am selfishly hoping it does. Three or four years ago, the creek flooded all the way to the play structures, across a large expanse of concrete, and it was absolutely fascinating.
Tonight, there was a wet cat trying to hunt in some tall grass by the creek. Then, after I had emerged on the other side of the park and had just taken a picture of a house's Christmas lights, I thought I saw another cat, but it was a mid-sized raccoon. I tried to get a picture, but of course it ran off.
