I submitted my abstract for the anthology on maligned species, and my friend submitted hers too! Now I'll wait to see if they want to read what I can write about yellowjackets, or not. Either way, I'm content with having made the effort... and it's nice to know I don't have to think about it any more, at least for a few weeks! Now, what else shall I do today?

Self-indulgence
Oct. 3rd, 2005 08:36 pmHaving worked hard all morning, and much of the weekend, I went out this afternoon for a bit of play! First I went to Lazar's and got a black light so I can assess the damage to that bedroom furniture. (It was interesting looking at swords and throwing stars while I waited to see if he could find the box.) Then off I went to the library and stocked up on recreational reading: the next two Feist novels (which I don't remember reading), the three Empire novels he wrote with Wurts (which I do), and another of Lisa Goldstein's books (which I'm sure I haven't). When I came out of the library, the sky was pregnant with rain, and the trees were waving in the wind, and it was wild!
