Eugene needs more animal crossing signs, evidently

On the way down to campus to get my ASLE registration packet, I had a young male deer cross the road in front of me. He then walked up a driveway, past a front door, and around the side of the house. Then, driving back from campus, traffic came to a halt for a pair of snow geese waddling sedately across Agate St. outside Hayward Field. In both cases, I was a bit slow to get out the camera:


There's a new Michael Palin series on the Travel Channel -- this time he's following the Himalayas from west to east. Worth watching!
