A few more wildflowers
Jun. 12th, 2005 08:58 pmToday I woke very eager to work on a specific project. Unfortunately, I never did figure out which project it was I was so eager for. Lovely day, though -- actually the first Sunday since that February warm spell with no rain at all. In the late morning I went back to the wildflowers and found a few more.
We missed seeing LG in "Stuart Little" at the Rose Children's Theater (too expensive under present circumstances), but in the afternoon we all went to a birthday party for one of D's friends. It was a fine stroll of about three blocks, then we had fun basking in the sunshine in the backyard for a couple of hours and chatting with the other parents, most of whom we've known quite a while now. I ate quite a bit of melon and some salty chips. On the walk home, I felt so relaxed. Mmm, sunshine endorphins. Seemed warmer than it actually was (69F).
Oh, one of the moms said she'd been on the same trail I was, within a few minutes of me, which was surprising given how few people go there. (I saw only five people, four on mountain bikes.) She also said there's a new trail being built a few blocks away that will connect to the Ridgeline Trail!
Blue-eyed grass:
