May. 29th, 2005 08:56 pmI'm not getting nearly as much done this weekend as I'd hoped (sick still/again), but at least I'm making good headway on my poster for ASLE. I have over 150 of Muir's uses of metaphors to categorize. It's mostly done. I'd hoped to get caught up on correspondence today too, but haven't even started.
This afternoon I watched the pilot "Encounter at Farpoint" episode from Star Trek: TNG, and this evening we finally introduced D. to Star Wars, the special edition version which I hadn't seen yet. (So easy to remember the date I first saw Star Wars: 7/7/77. The sticky-floored Mayflower Theater is long gone.)
R. is going to experiment with retaining the beard and today "dethatched" it by removing about two-thirds of the volume. He also got his first haircut in quite a while. Very sharp.
A stranger rang our doorbell today and asked if we would consider selling my car! I knew Camrys were popular, but this one is nine years old, dusty, mossy, and dinged up in the back where an indigent guy with a pattern of doing such things crashed into it with his motorized wheelchair. Needless to say, considering I've kept every previous car for months/years after its final days of service...
