Gah!

I have now spent about $500 this week to learn that Robin, my cat, is... perfectly healthy. The first round of tests said he was quite fine except for lowered liver enzymes, so we did the second round of tests, and now I have just learned that his liver is fully functional as well. So why was he quite normal on Friday but crying with pain and unable to walk on Saturday? Lively and capable when fasting, but a zombie after eating? Wobbly and unable to jump onto the bed at 10 a.m. today but casually doing so in stride at noon? A neurological problem (their only other guess) would be more consistent.

CLB sent me the link for this rather sweet flash movie, Deciduous. As he says, "Good triumphs. Evil is recycled." Load the very busy webpage, ignore the many popups it spawns, and click on "Watch This Movie."

I had so much enjoyed the "Sumerian Dance" piece in Jeff Defty's Descent of Inanna, a New Age composition, that I spent some time looking at the website for the CD's distributor, North Pacific Music. There I found some sound clips of real Sumerian music! This is from an album by a Portland-area group, De Organographia. Also see their ancient Greek music. Different, but appealing!

JG today recommended I apply undiluted bleach to the poison oak all over my legs, so I did; maybe it will be better by morning.

Dinner was tasty. I got some grilled mahi mahi, roasted vegetables, and herbed mashed potatoes, nicely packaged into servings. Mmm.

For the cat: We're back to our original Arthritis Hypothesis. I'll try to learn about dietary supplements, and therapeutic massage and combing. It's good to know he's so healthy otherwise.
