The real start of my 2004 vacation*
Oct. 13th, 2004 10:45 amJ. should be here in about 3 hours. I was a bit confused by the America West flight status page until I found out that Arizona doesn't have daylight time. At any rate, the flight from N.C. to Phoenix was right on schedule, so presumably all is well. For the next five days, I will engage in the peculiar practice of turning off the computer at 8 p.m.! Updates on the vacation will thus be posted the following day. Plans for today are rather mundane, however -- burritos and quesadillas for dinner, the presidential debate, Smallville (which I've never seen before), and a movie tbd. Forecast: sunny and 76.
Happy birthday from J. and me both to
thecount1013 -- could someone pass that along to her, please?
*ORI, the best employer in the world, gives us five weeks of vacation a year, but I only take off a block of time for J's annual visit. Hmm, maybe I should take a week in spring, too -- that could be fun!
