Aug. 28th, 2004 08:47 pmD. had a guest today but kind of fell to pieces during the last hour, being in desperate need of a nap, having woken up way too early today (probably from the excitement). During that nap, I got to read outside. Today, Justen in The Order Wars (the fourth Recluce book) was rescued when in dreadful shape in a desert. Meanwhile, it was Caesarion's turn to rescue the fellow who had yesterday rescued him from his own dreadful desert experience. I'm glad it's not a desert here. After dinner, I went on a walk, and it was a perfect summer evening: 81, with the sky so very clear after the rains, and the golden light from having the sun so low in the sky.
