Spider-man on a stick
Aug. 22nd, 2004 08:40 pmBack to the fair again, the three of us this time joined by B., K., and S. Some things done differently today:

- Bought a spider-man on a stick.
- Got rained on. Lots.
- Looked more closely at the paintings, dollhouses, a dragon carved from wood, pies, photography, and flowers.
- Saw Carla W. who used to work at ORI, staffing the Audubon booth.
- Voted for best scarecrow and best overall grange exhibit (Walterville and Spencer Creek, R. and I thought).
- Got rained on lots more.
- Watched D. go on even more rides than yesterday, including a free one, offered by a friendly operator who wasn't doing anything otherwise because of the rain. Today's were: flying space ship cars, more ordinary cars, merry-go-round, flying firetruck bus (with B.), a net-climbing course, and the canoe ride.
- Ate the food most likely to win
keyboard_monkey's approval, while rain poured onto the end of the covered table and ran in rivulets past us.
- Patted more sheep and a bunny.
- Got the back of my legs all covered with mud.
