First this morning, I went to Fred Meyer and got some new shorts, etc., and some dragon- and dinosaur-related jigsaw puzzles for D's birthday. At the footbridge over Amazon Creek, I photographed a green dragonfly and some chickory and got closer to the mysterious blackish butterfly of yesterday but still don't know what it is.
Then I went to the office, where my computer was completely dead. I'm much more inclined to blame the mechanical problems indicated by the obnoxious fan noise it was experiencing last week than the person who used it yesterday; it's a full year since I'd seen Kristi K., who went off to study naturopathy after already having a Ph.D. in social psychology, and none of her visits to ORI seem to coincide with when I'm there. It's a good thing that I barely use the hard drive there any more. I guess the main point of going to work today was to report the computer problem, so that I don't necessarily have to be computerless when I'm there again tomorrow afternoon...
