A morning downtown
Jul. 5th, 2004 08:25 pmI spent nearly two hours running errands and walking around town this morning, which was nice, but strange -- the weather was great, but there were almost no people anywhere, since for most places it's a holiday. Nicely, it wasn't a holiday at the library. The Buy & Sell store was also open. I hadn't been in there before, but it's one of B's favorite local stores; they sell used musical instruments and sheet music. I also tried walking on the bike path just south of the fairgrounds, but ran out of time.
I'm thinking of rereading the first three "Moosepath League" books (the library doesn't seem to have the fourth yet). Partly I want to read them in the right order this time, and partly I like the idea of reading the first in the proper season (it's set in July). I also got an unrelated book by the same author, also set in Maine, but even earlier.
