"Quidditch Match, 6 p.m."
May. 19th, 2004 10:14 pmThese signs were plastered all over work today, along with "newspaper articles" reporting rumors that the Sorcerer's Stone was actually hidden somewhere in the main ORI building. So really at 6 p.m., they were having a showing of the first Harry Potter movie, with popcorn and prizes (including tickets for the next movie). This is like they did for two of the Lord of the Rings movies too. People were encouraged to bring blankets and basically camp out in the room where the movie was being shown. One of these years, maybe I can go to one of these events...
C. at work used to show old movies from her collection to a group of film buffs, during lunch. I remember seeing the Bela Lugosi version of Dracula (on Halloween), and All About Eve, and some interesting old movie involving weird devices and a complicated family, hmm. Lots of fun things at work -- I'm looking forward to when I am there longer hours so I can do tai chi on Thursdays.
