Day 991: Hm, the leaves

Although we're asked not to put our leaves out in the street until the weekend before our scheduled pickup, the neighbors on the south end of the street generally do it early, and this year was no exception. Our leaf pickup week started on Monday, so on Sunday I raked up a pile of leaves and used the big push broom to get them out into the street. But when I got there, I noticed that the other leaf piles had already been taken away! I asked J. to doublecheck the schedule, in case I'd read it wrong, but he agreed that I'd read it correctly. I added a whole lot more leaves today, since my pile was still there, but I have to wonder if somehow I missed out by not having them out there early.
