Something about the process of carrying the two end tables I bought at the estate sale down the driveway slope and wrestling them into my car was unaccountably exhausting - I was worn out and achy all day. So I didn't do much else - a bit of work, a bit of TV, reading the week's newspapers, and so on. I'd finished Orphan Train last night and loved both the main characters; today I lent it to H. She was also worn out, but with better reason, having made papier-mâché skulls with a room full of middle schoolers this week.
