eve_primeI am so proud of my friend C. This is the first semester of her teaching career, and she's teaching in my old high school, a district that has become home to many migrant workers from Mexico and their children, a significant number of whom may become targeted for deportation. Schools have always been off-limits for the INS, but not any more, we're told. C. has a lockdown plan for her classroom. She's going to refuse to give up any children to the INS, if the school is raided. I am so impressed with her.
