Late-night cozing with peach tea

eve_primeGreat news for people in my line of work! It used to be that we could keep revising and submitting our grant proposals a whole bunch of times – at least four. One of our most successful projects was funded on the fourth try, right before they cut back the maximum to three tries. Then, a few years back, they limited us to two tries, which is really challenging when they also cut back the budget at the same time, so that even proposals rated as “excellent” overall aren’t anywhere near good enough to get funded.
Today, though, they announced that after two tries, we can resubmit it again! That means I can resubmit my “serious game” Android app for quitting smoking again, even as early as June!
Why am I so worn out right now? Maybe it's from extending the active part of my day so late into the evening. At the school, we had a Planned Parenthood presentation on talking to our kids about relationships and sexuality, complete with teenagers giving their own advice for us, and then after I got back we still had Easter egg dyeing, which we finally finished around 10 p.m. It was fun, but I am _so_ tired now, and I still have another paper on meaningfulness to read.
