Day 1009: A merry Christmas Eve

Today we rushed about doing last-minute things, then we did our Christmas Eve tradition of photographing cats in front of the tree. Then we opened gifts, and I made spaghetti, then called my sister and invited them for tomorrow. Then J. obliged me with a second playthrough of the Cthulhu Saves Christmas game - so funny - and then we did some of Santa's work with the stockings. More details tomorrow, I am sure.

Your cats all look so big! Especially the white one.

The white one (Ajani), his brother Sorin, and Jean-Luc are all about the same size (16 lbs), although Jean-Luc is the only one among them who is fat. I agree that at that angle, Ajani looks especially big! The other two cats also look big, but it's only because of their thick fur - they are both under 10 lbs.

Ahh yes, the angle and also white can make people look heavier so maybe with cats too, ;-) :-D :-D

Hee hee! I think that is why many women like to wear black, it is slimming compared to white, (usually). ;-)

I never wear white at all - it brings out the yellow in my skin - but I do think my dark blouses are most flattering, now that I am rounder than I used to be!

I am a bit more 'rounder' these days too! I have gained 5 pounds with this injury over the holiday, yikes. I don't want to have to buy new pants and jeans so I need to get on top of it :)

I spent the first 50+ years of my life being fairly thin, though in fact my weight has crept up steadily all along. I don't want to be much heavier, though. I did lose five pounds from that stomach flu I had earlier this fall, and it's stayed off.

I think (not official) that I will give up sugar for January!

Well, I weighed 118 at 19, but I'm fairly tall with a long spine (though short-ish legs), so it took a long, long time before my stomach wasn't flat.

I gave up sugar in my 20s (hypoglycemia), but I can gain weight pretty easily with carbs these days.
