Ye auld planetes

Today was much more tiring than it should have been, so let's focus on the interesting things I learned, rather than the bothersome parts.

Venus has "snowy" mountains! They think the snow is actually metal flakes, like pyrite maybe, and that the mountains might sparkle, if a person could go there to see them. However, it's like 840°F there.

Pluto is mostly pink! Though also there are huge dark patches that might be pools of what they described as "hydrocarbon gunk." (I'm not convinced about the pinkness, myself - the photos make it look more orange to my eyes.) Pluto also has weather, with an actual atmosphere and such. And there are two moons besides Charon that I don't think I'd heard of before: Nix and Hydra.
