The tree spectacle
James the Tree Guy resumed work bright and early at 8 a.m., and I spent most of the morning dashing outside whenever the chain saw started up.
This 48-second movie is the most spectacular of the bunch. I can't even begin to imagine doing that.
Well, okay, this one is pretty cool, too.
And this one is fun, shattering even.
And this one made a big impact.
Anyway, after they left to haul off the wood, I discovered that the grape hyacinths I'd planted ten years ago at the base of the cottonwood, to naturalize, had sprouted, and I could dig them up and save them. I filled two buckets with hundreds of tiny bulbs! Now I have to find somewhere to plant them for the winter, until I can relocate them into the flowerbeds.
