Let's see. First, I wanted to report that The Great Rotini Annoyance is finally at an end. After something like 108 days, my neighborhood Safeway is finally stocking ordinary rotini again. Finally.

Also, I have these photos for Helen - the Japanese maple next to my front door. It was planted almost 30 years ago! The leaves are very lacy and turn dark red in the fall.

I think so, because during Omicron our Trader Joe's closed their produce department for about a week. When I mentioned this to my friends in Calif. that had not happened there. And also the truckers in the winter have trouble getting thru the mountain passes from the coast because of snow.

Yeah, that makes sense. I haven't been to Trader Joe's in a long time, but the other supermarkets have had plenty of produce. That sounds so frustrating.
