Party-time
Today we had a small birthday party for J. with a “two-headed giant draft” of Magic. C’s son objected to always being partnered with his mom, so instead he was with D. and I got to be partnered with C. Also there was a fancy cake with chocolate and raspberries, which I bought, and some rolls that C. brought, and sourdough bread and tortilla chips. Afterwards, J. went to his company holiday party while I worked on wrapping his gifts and putting up seven more strands of lights.
In a few minutes it’ll be J’s birthday, and the first thing he’s going to do on his birthday is watch the final episode of Hellsing Ultimate OVA. I did watch the penultimate episode last week, so at least I’m slightly familiar with the characters and premise now.
Sorin is in raptures over J’s robe – we’ve taken to wearing our fleecy bathrobes for warmth in my house – and Ajani is deliberately crinkling papers for attention.
