Tempting fate

It started pouring just as I left the UO library to walk more than half a mile to my car, and I was pretty much drenched by the time I got there. Funny, yes, to have drops of water dribbling down from one's eyebrows, and silly, but I looked too ridiculous to go into the store near where I'd parked, and when I got home I had to bundle up and settle down. I skipped the clothing-swap party I'd been invited to and just watched the World Series with R. and napped. My throat's been sore since then, too. Fingers crossed that a night's sleep will make everything better.
