Career planning for kindergarteners

For at least a year now, D's career goal has been "knight." Not the modern British Yes, Minister bureaucratic-perk sort of knight, but the kind who lives in a castle and saves princesses. He's very earnest about this. All this while, though, he's been obsessed with dinosaurs, and from time to time we've suggested that perhaps paleontology could be the thing. Finally, today, he came around. To quote, "I'm really excited about bones, so I want to be a 'leontologist, actually." He went on to explain that it's really just like doing jigsaw puzzles, which he's quite good at, so he's pretty confident.

Of course, my school scrapbook notes that when I was in kindergarten I wanted to be a "cowgrel"...
